History |
Edinburgh Chinese School was founded in 1971 and is a
registered charity. It has a history of 33 years and for over 10 years, it has
been situated at Drummond Community High School.
Since the beginning, the school has promoted the learning
and teaching of the Chinese language and continues on at present. As well as
this, the school also promotes Chinese culture & its rich heritage to the
community and the younger generation through the vast range of clubs and
extra-curricular activities.
Over the years, Edinburgh Chinese School has established a
good reputation in the community and is now a preferred choice of students for
learning the Chinese language and culture.
In July 2001, the school was honoured to be invited to
attend a reception in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen at the City Chambers
in order to celebrate 30 years of Chinese Education in Edinburgh.
