18 May 2007 - Scottish BME Achievement Award 2007

Edinburgh Chinese School was proudly presented the Scottish BME Achievement Award 2007 - Grass Root Award in serving the Community on 18 May 2007 at Glasgow Celtic Park by Citrus Green.

"Community development is the bedrock on which further success is built. Grass roots organisations and individuals have worked tirelessly and without any thanks or appreciation for many years within the communities in Scotland, therefore the Scottish Black Minority Ethnic Achievement Awards are in a way an appreciation for the hard work and effort made by the diverse range of community groups in, making life in Scotland better for all"

"Your awards rightly draw attention to the outstanding contributions of the individuals who exemplify the achievements of Scotland's black minority ethnic communities. My congratulations go to those who will receive such well-earned confirmation of their accomplishments."

Councillor Robert Winter, Rt Hon The Lord Provost of Glasgow
